in my life i had lots of hopes and wishes.. its nice to have wishes but its hard to loose them.. but i wish not to change..!!

when i started with what i like about Sweden i was trying to help myself in first place.. but i cant help it.. i keep thinking about that egyptian quote "elganna min gheer nas matendas" u cant live in heaven if u r all alone!!

- First thing i dont like "and am not gonna say hate as Rika said" is the people.. they never smile as if that would make them less happy or something!! even if u started smiling at them they give u that strange look.. poor girl shes smiling, she must be sick!!

- Cigarettes.. they smoke till they drop!! kids, youth and elders r heavy smokers and because its not allowed to smoke indoors at almost everywhere in here u can find them standing out doors in front of every building smoking as if they r grounded!!

- Elders here r very heart breaking.. they r left alone all the time, no one to help or to take care of them.. u can c them everywhere so sad and lonely.. they even never expects anyone to help them.. i once helped that lady living near me with her heavy shopping bags she was very happy but very astonished of what i did.. most probebly she thought am a freak!

- Language.. in this country u can never find a sign in english.. the only sign i read in english was saying ""dear visitor, please leave""!! its supposed to be a tourism ad. asking tourists to step out side the city and head to the surrounding islands to enjoy the nature!!

- Money.. i knew how come they r the richest country.. they take money for every single O2 breath u take in, and u have to pay for the CO2 u r sending out too!!

tax, tax and tax for every thing.. u have to pay 25% of ur encome every year and that doesnt mean u r not paying everyday for car parking or gas or electricity!!

nice post, keep on writing, you will get all the strange stuff out of you..and inshallah you will feel better soon about the place you are at. i think you should keep busy with something..anything, to get you out of the house and do something to get to know the country, the people and the surroundings..i know it will take a while but you never know, you might fall in love with in a short time...good luck!

You don't sound happy dear ... I'm so sorry for that! Even though Sweden-Germany is not a world apart, I'm astonished to hear there is almost no English to be found! The problem with loneliness of the elderly is THE SAME and I find this so terribly shameful!
About a smile ... really THAT bad? It must me the northern entality - the people in the north of Germany are cooler and more closed as well ... I'm in the VERY south)!

May I be nosy? Why are you in Sweden in the first place? I never succeeded to figure that out ...

One more thing ... I loooooooooove the song of Fairouz!!!!

Cheer up dear ... take it easy! I've lived abrouad as well and kow how very difficult especially the start is! You're a GREAT person - and whoever doesn't recognize that, send him/her to ME ;);)!!
